About Us
DebateSphere's mission is to educate every student in Louisville with the transformative and empowering advantages of public speaking and debate. DebateSphere is an organization run by students who understand the financial and educational disparity between wealthy and unwealthy Speech & Debate programs across the nation. We strive to take steps forward so that many of the amazing Speech & Debate students, hindered by a lack of opportunity, get a platform to hone their skills and compete at the highest level national circuit tournaments.
We focus on raising money to provide students with more tournament opportunities, starting Speech & Debate programs in middle schools to get students interested from a young age, and providing coaching that can go a long way in teaching students how to deal with the competition seen at the highest level.

Victoria Fu

Victoria has competed in PF debate on a national level and won a gold bid in national circuit tournaments. In her free time, she enjoys reading and playing games. She strongly believes that debate is an activity that should be open to all who want to do it.

Kruthi Mangamur

Kruthi Mangamur is a junior at DuPont Manual High School. She has many hobbies, Speech and Debate being one since the sixth grade. Throughout her history in forensics, she has competed in Lincoln Douglas, Duo Interpretation, Poetry, Prose, Impromptu Speaking and has recently been honed into Dramatic Interpretation. She believes that the National Speech and Debate Association is an amazing organization as they seek to spread this activity around the world, and hopes that DebateSphere can accomplish similar things in smaller communities.

Kaaviyan Devanand

Kaaviyan Devanand has done LD at multiple national circuit tournaments. He enjoys teaching others and explaining the various concepts of LD debate that make it facinating. In his free time, Kaaviyan loves to watch movies, play sports, and spend time with his friends and family. He believes that debate is an activity that helps shape students to be leaders of the next generation and hopes to help hard-working students overcome their opportunistic limits.
